A Survey on Node Deployment Approaches in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract
A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is composed of a large number of densely deployed sensor nodes. These nodes are powered by battery of limited energy for its operations and these batteries are not easily replaceable. So network lifetime is the main challenge of Wireless Sensor Networks. This paper represents a survey on various node deployment approaches used for energy conservation of the nodes to enhance the lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks.
