A Novel Scheme for Online Bangla Handwriting Recognition
Main Article Content
Abstract
Online handwriting recognition is very challenging for Indic scripts because of its huge no of shapes in total character set (isolated, modified and compound). To handle such situation we plan to use strokes for recognition rather than character. This paper describes a procedure to recognize online Bangla handwriting recognition in unconstrained domain based on strokes. For simplicity of recognition he strokes divided into five different categories in the first phase and in second phase detailed classification is done. Next based on the recognized stroke we plan to recognize the characters/words. We have obtained encouraging results in the experiment.
