Applying Wavelet Transform for High Speed Shot Boundary Detection & Key Frame Extraction
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper present novel algorithm by applying wavelet transform for high speed boundary detection and key frame extraction. The algorithm differs from conventional methods mainly in the use of image segmentation and image compression.. Matching difference between two consecutive frames is computed with different weight. Shot boundaries are detected with automatic threshold. Key frame is extracted by using reference frame-based approach. Experimentalresults show high speed performance of shot boundary detection by using the proposed algorithms, and key frames represent shot content.
