Survey on Applications nf Social Network Analysis

Abstract

Social network is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations) called “nodes”, which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency. Social network analysis is the study of complex human systems through the mapping and characterizing relationships between people, groups or organizations. Social network analysis views social relationships in terms of network theory consisting of nodes and connections/ties. This paper discusses some of the applications of Social Network Analysis in the field of Communication Networks
