A Short Range Wireless Network: Bluetooth

Abstract
This paper discusses about the wireless networks, we are using now-a-days. The most widely used, standard of wireless network now-a-days is Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a standard which is open and used for short term range at a low cost, low power and low profile. The types of networks related to Bluetooth- Pico net and Scatter net. It also explains the four major components used in the Bluetooth Architecture. It specifies the range, benefits and security enforces in Bluetooth. The main three security services offered are Confidentiality, Integrity and Authenticity. It also explains the requirements to ensure the security.
