Abstract

Spatial data mining is the process of discovering interesting patterns from large databases that are useful. Discovering interesting patterns from the spatial information is rather a challenging and complex task when compared to extraction from the traditional datasets. This paper gives an insight into various spatial clustering algorithms, their strengths and weaknesses, and focus on issues like quality measures.

Keywords: Spatial data, clustering algorithms, statistical measures.
