Abstract

The kernel is the heart of Linux operating system, managing all system threads, processes, resources and resource allocation. This
paper gives the implication of builded modules for a precompiled kernel to be inserted into new existing kernel. The insertion of external
loadable kernel module is the core task of our adhoc network testbed under development. Here, we effort in conversion of ELF object (.o) file to
Kernel object (.ko) file in a difficult situation of non availability of source file in a module. This paper emphasis on the research approach we
have adopted by using modpost
